﷽
I’ve been working on a new resource for Ihsaan Home Academy readers and now ready to share it with you.
Introducing Juz ‘Amma Qur’an Copywork: Part One (1)
This copywork notebooking resource is the first in a series of Juz ‘Amma (30th part of the Qur’an) copywork. The books was designed for homeschooled children who have already learned how to read and write Arabic; at least at a basic level. It can however be used by anyone for Arabic reading and writing practice and Qur’an memorization.
My children have been doing Qur’an copywork and it has improved their handwriting and reading ability. So I thought others may also benefit.
What’s Inside?
- 40 lessons of copywork
- Surah Al-Fatihah
- The complete Surah An-Naba (Surah 78)
- Surah An-Nazi’at (Surah 79), ayahs 1–22
- English meaning for each ayah using Dr. Mustafa Khattab’s translation, The Clear Quran
- A reflection page at the end for recording observations, writing a favorite ayah and drawing something related to it
Although Surah Al-Fatihah is not part of Juz Amma, it has been included as part of this first book.
I didn’t start with the bottom short surahs because I wanted to follow a surah-number-chronological order to easily visualize the progress. It shouldn’t be an issue because the beginning of Juz ‘Amma has very short ayaat and the book has a gradual progress.
Space for Reflection
A little more about the reflection page…
I wanted to leave some room for you to think about what they’ve been reading and writing before finishing the book. The page invites you to share what stood out to you, write your favorite ayah so far and draw something related to it.
This can be a lovely opportunity for children to connect their Qur’an lessons with their own thoughts and observations. It also gives them a little space to express themselves creatively.
Who is this for?
As previously mentioned, I initially made it for homeschooled children who know basic Arabic reading and writing. There’s no age range because it depends on the child’s level of reading/writing Arabic. But if I had to choose an age range I would say around 7-12+.
However, this copywork can be used by anyone; young or adult.
More Parts Are Coming, Inshaa Allah!
I’ll be working on more books in the series, so there will be additional surahs and ayahs to look forward to, inshaa Allah.
